Does anybody know where I can get a window valance with apples on it?
I'm looking for a window topper for my newly remodeled kitchen. I would like the valance to be warm colors, with apples on it. I will buy either online, or in department stores.I don't want anything too busy I already checked at Sears. They didn't have any Not too many apples, and I don't want all red valance. Thanks though Already checked walmart and target too Bed bath and beyond valance has tomatoes not apples At first I thought it was apples too. Mervyns, and penneys, has those too. Too bad they are tomatoes
Are window valances out of style?
I just put up new blinds. At the top I had to take out 2 extra rods. Now, it looks terrible at the top. There are holes there and discolouration. I was wondering if I could put a valance there but are they still in style or out dated. thanks
What is the purpose of putting window valances on windows?
i know they are not like curtains for cover up or design, valances only cover the top of the window. what is the main purpose? just to decorate the window?

Can anyone find me a Cottage Tales by Crown Crafts window valance for my baby's nursery?
I recently purchased the Cottage Tales crib bedding set online but I need two window valances and the set only comes with one. The set is made by Crown Crafts and the valance is a pale yellow with patchwork design on it. I have been able to find the set on the babybeddingtown.com website but it is discontinued. If anyone has this set and would be willing to sell the valance or if anyone can find someplace online that is selling one, can you please let me know.Thank You

Does 1.5x the window width seem about right for a nice puffed gather? Or 2x?

You had to pull tuffs of a sheet or large piece of fabric though the loops and it made this big, puffy window valance. They were advertised on television years ago. I need the name and a website that sells them would be perfect, instant 10 points

Question about a window valance?
I just made a window valance from some nice heavy cotton fabric.I made it double sided for stability, but the material is rather stiff and although it looks nice, I would like it to hang looser. Would washing it soften it up a bit? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
How to make a wooden window valance?
I am going to make a wooden window valance for my daughters room and just wanted some info. what is the best way? it is a bay window with three windows. what is the easiest way to find the angle to join the wood together to form one solid valance. right now I am just doing a simple " box" design...I might add decorative moulding to the top later. any info would be great thanks in advance

Window Valances and Fabric?
I am planning on making window valances for my son's toyroom in our new house. Since I am not a sewer or know much about fabric, I thought this would give me a chance to save some money and make something for him There are three windows I want each of the valances to be 15 X 45. Therefore, I figure when I go and get material I will need a large piece that is 45 X 45 in order to do all of them. Do I just tell the person who is cutting I need 45 X 45 piece or is it done in yards?? Thanks so much
