What size drapes for different sized windows in the same room?
I have 2 windows on one wall in my bedroom that are 54" in length and one window on the adjoining wall that is 63" . So should I do two short drapes and one long or all of the longer sized drapes? My house is rustic so I'm not going with formal floor length drapes and they are all going to be the same fabric if that makes a difference. Thanks
Are valances along with side drapes in now?
I was wondering if valances are still " in" on windows along with side panels......The window looks so bare and I was wondering if valances along with the side panels would help, but I don't want to have it look outdated. I need an outside opinion. Thanks
Where can I buy huge drapes?
I have two very super huge windows about 21' x 8' . I have motorized blinds which work well for the day, but I am in need of something to give me privacy at night. I would like to get drapes again, 21 22' high by about 8' wide that will give me complete privacy at night. The drapes would be ultimately mounted to either a metal stud or a concrete ceiling. Is the weight going to be an issue? and if not, Who even makes quality drapes this large?
Instructions for sewing coordinating band of fabric to drapes?
I'm looking for instructions on how to sew a band of approximately 3" of coordinating fabric to store purchased drapes. I've seen this done on the bottom of drapes but am having difficulty finding instructions for down the side of the drapes. Also... is weight of the coordinating fabric an issue and that's why you normally see it added to the bottom? I like the idea but think doing it on the bottom is going to be too modern of a look for my room. Thanks to whoever can help and happy holidays
