I want to paint the wood trim in my bedroom white because I want a Breakfast at Tiffany's themed room and the brown wood trim is just not going to work.The only thing is, the trim is not real wood. It's worn and chincy. Will it still look okay if I paint it?Also how do I go about painting the door and the frame since it will need to stay the same on the outside of my room??? I have this ugly poop brown trim in my modern bedroom which has turqouise and lime green and pink. It just looks bad. My mom doesn't want me to PAINT paint the wood, because i guess its hard to remove or return to its natural state and its bad for selling the house? Is that true by the way? Anyway, she said maybe i could paint it with white washable tempera paint so i could wipe it off or remove it if we move. Is this a bad idea? Will it work? Oppinions?
Can anyone help with my wood trim in my old victorian home?
I have an old home built in 1904. All the trim is white. I am debating on stripping and refinishing, but someone told me that these old victorian houses had white trim originally. I know this is not true of craftsman houses 1920's 930's Does anyone have any insight on this? If it matters it's a house in Minneapolis, MN.

How do you get paint off wood trim?
Is there a way to get paint off wood trim. I have a rental property that the renters painted and two years later they moved out and when they painted they got paint in spots on the wood door trims. Is there a way to removed it I am now trying to sell the house.

We just got a new doorwall installed, and they put in unfinished wood trim pieces in between the doorwall and?
the molding. The installer left some white paint marks on the wood trim pieces. He said that most people just paint or stain them anyways. Well, we aren't so sure that we want to paint or stain it, so I was wondering if anyone knows how to get paint marks off of unfinished wood?
