My living,kitchen and dining room lights won't work. Help!?
I already tried replacing the light switches,still no light and the electrical outlets in those rooms all work so what could it be.
Dining room lighting with a dimmer-switch?
My husband and I just bought a new house, and we're looking to take out the old, seriously crappy hanging light fixture in the dining room. I've looked at Lowes and Home Depot and have seen MANY that we both ended up liking a lot, but we're not sure if we can use any of them because the electrical set up in the dining room is for a light dimmer. Do I need a specific TYPE of light fixture for this, or will ANY fixture work? By the way, I HAVE asked the people at both those stores, but they didn't really know anything about it figures, right? Thanks for the information, Paul. We like the dimmer switch for those times that you want light, but not a lot of light and so we wanted to make sure that it wasn't a specific type of light that we would need in order to utilize the setup. Whew lol....you have no idea how happy this makes me.
When i switch my living room lights on my dining room lights go off? any1 help?
when i switch my living room lights on and then go and switch my dining room light on my living room light goes off, i can only put 1 on at a time this has only happened since i had a dimmer switch put in
Dining room light fused but did not trip fuse box circuit breaker?
Dining room light fused but this did not trip the fuse box circuit breaker? Obviously the dinning room light did not work but the other downstairs lights were still working. Why did the circuit breaker not trip?
My dining room light box has 2 sets of wires coming into it but only one switch controls it. How do re-connect?
The 2 Blacks are tied together and the the whites are separated. The blacks and one white have wire nuts on them and one white is bare. I didn't un hook the old light so i don't know how it was wired before the sheetrockers messed with it.. Some one help me please.
I am trying to find a dining room light...?
I've seen the light on hgtv a few times, it goes above your dining room table. I've looked on their website and I can't find it, and it's not helping that I can't figure out what you'd call it. Pretty random but I was watching the movie " The Break Up" and it's in their dining room also. It's like a ceiling " lamp" because it has a lamp shade over it, it's like a rectangle and looks really good above a long dining room table. My dining room lights won't turn off?
i changed the lights in my dining room, when i turned the breaker back on, the lights came on...but they will not turn off The old lights used a dimmer switch but the new lights dont although it is still hooked up to the dimmer switch. The damb things will NOT turn off, i had to turn the breaker off again. Do i have to exchange the lightswitch to a regular one from the dimmer switch?O.K. I switched the light switch with a new one the lights STILL wont turn off HELP
Will 3 - 60 watt bulbs give off more light than 1 - 100 watt bulb in a dining room light fixture?
Our old ceiling fan took a 100 watt bulb in a round white globe and that was enough light for this room, our new fixture takes 2 60 watt bulbs and it is too dark. Preferably using only one fixture how can I get this room lit up to the 100 watts of light we had before ?
Dining room lights not working?
Kitchen and dining room lights are on the same breaker. Dining room lights and one kitchen light will not turn on. Checked the breaker know it works because other kitchen light works.
What kind of dining room light fixture should I get?
I currently have a semi flush 3 light fixture. It is outdated and ugly. What kind of fixture should I replace it with? Send me links with pictures if you can find one. My dining room table is elegant, kind've fancy. The dining room is at the end of the kitchen it is small, only the table fits in there , and the living room is at the other end of the dining room. The kitchen, dining room, living room form a U shape, the kitchen and living room are parallel, separated by a wall. From the kitchen, you walk through dining room to get to the livingroom. The dining room light fixture is in the middle of the room, so my table can't be directly under the fixture because there wouldn't be enough room to walk to the living room. So a long light directly above the table is out of the question since it wouldn't be centered above the table. Suggestions?
Why is my dining room light flickering?
My dining room chandelier flickers when I have the dimmer about half way up. The chandelier has 6 60 watt bulbs and is connected to a Lutron Dimmer switch. I also tried replacing the dimmer but still have some flickering. It is not constant but happens every so often. Please help it is driving me crazy..
