I'm very unhappy with my home security alarm system?
my question is my contract is for 2 yrs. and it's been 1 yr. I want out, they wont work with me..... I lost my job and already ran out of unemployment, now do I feed my family or pay the security? Duh feed my family, if I put a stop payment with the bank,,,,, what can the company do to me?

Why is my home security system keep going off?
4 times my home security system went off saying their was a window brake in. But their is nothing broken nobody broke into the house. It also went off just an hour ago saying a windows broke on the ID screen. I reset it like it said to do. re programmed it and it still go's off. It all started last night. I just recently moved into my house about a month ago and never had a problem with it until just now. But although my house sat abandoned for a few years I can see why someone would temp to brake in. But nobody broke in to the looks of it.

Remove home security keypad and plater over wires?
Hi,I have just moved into a new house and want to remove the ADT keypad display thing, and also the alarm, from the wall before I begin to paint. Can I just tape up ends of wires and stuff into wall before I plaster over? I would assume at least one of the wires is electrical but I don't know much about this kind of thing.Thank you

ADT or Power Home Technologies? Ive heard horrible reviews on ADT but a lot of people have them so im not sure if their actually good or not. Ive never known of anyone to have Power Home Technologies as a home security so i need help on which is better or if there's a better home security company in alabama.
I set my home security alarm by accident & no one called or came to make sure everything was ok!?
I have done this a handful of times in the past & they always called & I would give them my password & tell them everything was fine. But this time I got no phone call at all & no one came Do you think it is reasonable to ask for a month of payment to be credited? What should I do? This is not at all comforting especially bc there are children in the house.

I am looking to get a home security system for my apartment. I live on the ground floor in a sketchy neighborhood, and a lot of my neighbors have been robbed and don't want to lose any of my stuff.
I bought a DIY home security camera package (Night Owl).?
It would seem to me to make some sense to hide the DVR so a thief doesn't make off with it, taking evidence of his breakin with him. E.g., in the attic above the room I am controlling everything from. However, this makes things more difficult as the system is set up for mouse control of the DVR features, and the mouse with a short cord is attached to the DVR. Anyone done this and how did you handle?

Does verizon send representitives to your house?I was home alone today, and two teens with verizon pins came to my house. When i opened the door, they seemed a bit surprised. One looked at the other and told him to talk. He asked if i was the primary owner of the house, and then how many tvs i have, and what service i use. Then he asked what time the primary owner would come home. I told him, but they never came back at that time. I am a bit concerned. There have already been 2 robberies on my block. I feel that these two teens knew that that all the cars at my house left, and that the house was empty, so they were surprised when someone opended the door. Also, there was no car with them.
Home security dvr system?
we're looking to get a home security system, wondering what the " channels" are exactly. If one system has 4 cameras, but 8 channels, does that mean you can add 4 more cameras? Or is it something else completely?
