Does anyone know how to make a room divider from hollow core doors?
Years ago, I used to watch a show called Interior Motives on the Discovery Channel. Christopher Lowell had all kinds of neat ideas on this show. In one episode, he made a room divider out of hollow core doors. The divider was shaped like a U, kind of. On one side, he put another core door horizontally attached between the doors to make a desk. On the other side, I think he put a bed or a sofa, or something. I have a very large unfinished basement with a concrete floor. We use one side as a playroom and the other side for laundry and storage. I wanted to use this idea or something like it to make a craft area for myself and my kids. I can remember the basic idea but can't remember what was used to attach the pieces. I want it to be stable and sturdy so it doesn't fall over or hurt anyone. Any suggestions, or ideas about where I might find directions for something like that? I've done multiple web searches and can't find what I'm looking for.
Help! My husband wants to replace our homes original (1913) doors with hollow core doors! Tips needed!?
Our home was built in 1913 and due to settling, the doors are off set and none of our bedroom doors will close. My husband who tends to do things in the most difficult way thinks we need to replace the entire door and frame. Is there a way to fix the problem and keep our doors?
How do I repaint 6-panel hollow core doors?
Our house was built in 1995 and all the interior doors are standard 6 panel hollow core doors, made out of some synthetic material like a cross between hard plastic & vinyl siding . Anyway we are repainting and Im wondering do these doors need any special care when repainting? Should they be primed first or can I just slap a fresh coat of paint directly on it? Im sure this sounds like a dumb question but the last thing I want is cracked or bubbled paint on all my doors Thanks yall.Alec

It's not a standard door size most doors are 80" . It's for a headboard I'm making so if there's another way to get a piece of wood that's 32" x 88" x 2" that's a valid answer too.

I'm looking for a door that can handle heavy use, but looks good. I don't want a plain one, because I have a nice house. I'd prefer an American made, environmentally friendly door, that's also lightweight for my elder family members . I know that's a tall order, so I'm submitting my quest to the internet I want some kind of core because I live in a rainy climate and my previous solid wood door warped and created drafts. It has to be a strong surface though, so my kids won't accidentally put holes in it. Any suggestions?
