How can I make mirrored closet doors look better?
I'm thinking of renting a townhome...the only problem are the mirrored closet doors in the bedrooms. The doors tall and they go from the floor to the ceiling and span the length of 1 wall. This townhome is in my budget so I really want it...but the 80s closet doors are stopping me. What can I do? My existing closets have bi fold doors. I would like to change them to bypass sliding doors. Can I use the existing track? Is it simply a matter of changing hardware and doors obviously or will I need a different track for this type of door to work?

I'm replacing all the bi fold doors for all 6 closets in my house. Three of them are the correct opening, but the other three are all 1 2" too narrow. There are two of them that call for a 36" single door, but the opening is only 35 1 2" wide. On the other closet, it calls for a pair of 24" bi fold doors for a 48" opening. However, the opening is 47 1 2" wide.What's the best way to solve this problem?

Hi, I have bought and planed down two doors that ARE NOT BIFOLD and that will open up like french doors. My husband told me the hinge should not show from outside. I agree.What type of hinge can you name it or give me link please do I need for installing these doors? I'm aquainted with BLUM hidden hinges, but don't really want to buy the jig for cutting out holes that they fit into. If there is a hinge I can just cut out hole for that is rectangular that would be ok. I don't know what it is called when you cut out that wood, but I'm referring to the way you use chisel to make recess where hinge goes.Thanks in Advance
Help reattaching sliding closet doors?
I have these huge mirror sliding closet door things in my room that were broken when I first moved in. I want to reattach them to the closet part because I really don't like how much space they take up or people seeing in my closet. Is it fairly easy to reattach fourt and is there an attachment that needs to go on the doors? Like a thing that allows them to slide back and fourth? If so, can I find them at Home Depot or something?

The bottom track for the mirror closet doors is cracked. The rollers are the concave type, but the track has no " lips" . Home Depot doesn't carry this kind of track. How do I find the track to fit the door?
Closet doors vibrate?
Ok, so I've been dealing with the issue for 15 years since I moved into my house, but it's been driving me nuts lately... The problem is my closet doors make a loud vibration noise whenever I open them. I think it is because the bottom of the doors rub up against the wall, but I could be wrong. They're not hard to open, but they are loud as hell whenever I open the door to get my clothes in the morning. Closing, they are virtually silent..
