My mother is more able bodied and prefers to soak in a bath. We have been offered a good deal on the sale and installation of a walk in tub, but I'm afraid they won't be able to get used to the change, mainly the smaller space in which to bathe. On the other hand, I'm very afraid that my dad will one day fall in their current tub and hurt or kill himself. I am looking for opinions and pros and cons from people who have walk in tubs or have some knowledge or experience with them. Thanks

ive lived in my apt for almost 2 years. the tub was not clean when we moved in and after our 1st shower there was a gray stain over the entire bottom of the tub the tub has texture to it and in the grain of the tub is where the stain is.i have poured the entire Clorox bottle in the tub and let it set for 24 hrs and not a bit of change. tried the magic eraser no luck and that works on everything toilet bowl cleaner no change kaboom no difference soft scrub, Ajax, comet, clr, and a bunch of others the only thing that got any of my tub clean was i dropped a bar of expensive all natural soap on the floor of the tub and did not pick it up till the next morning and it left a clean spot, but that was a $16 bar of soap. i saw somewhere that TSP cleaner could work but it sounds harsh. someone help please...
