My bathtub has been backed up for a few days and won't unclog. When I take a shower, it fills up about 6 inches gross, I know and it doesn't fully drain for about an hour after I get out of the shower.I've gotten all the visible hair out of the drain and I've tried plunging it to no avail. Neither worked. I was going to get a chemical or pour hot water down the drain but I've read that it's not good for the pipes and for sealants, etc. What do I do?Newest development when I turn on the faucet at the sink, water starts bubbling up from the bath tub drain and creates a little puddle which, of course, drains ridiculously slowly . How to clean a plastic bath tub with stains?
ive lived in my apt for almost 2 years. the tub was not clean when we moved in and after our 1st shower there was a gray stain over the entire bottom of the tub the tub has texture to it and in the grain of the tub is where the stain is.i have poured the entire Clorox bottle in the tub and let it set for 24 hrs and not a bit of change. tried the magic eraser no luck and that works on everything toilet bowl cleaner no change kaboom no difference soft scrub, Ajax, comet, clr, and a bunch of others the only thing that got any of my tub clean was i dropped a bar of expensive all natural soap on the floor of the tub and did not pick it up till the next morning and it left a clean spot, but that was a $16 bar of soap. i saw somewhere that TSP cleaner could work but it sounds harsh. someone help please...
