How do I get a strong vitamin smell out of my bathroom cabinets?
I think the smell is from storing a number of different stronger smelling vitamins minerals in the cabinets took them out . But also the smell seems to be in the bed mattress, it is a mystery to me... but I would like to know if there is anything that will neutralize the smell. I have tried air fresheners and baking soda and airing out but the vitamin smell just continues to take over and permeate.
Should I sand or use stripping agent on bathroom cabinets or both?
Want to remove and update the 1970's stain with a more updated mahogany color. I have heard both and unsure. What stripping agent is best for non ventilated bathroom? Thanks.The cabinets have not been painted previously but have a wood stain. Sounds like stain removers should only be used for removing layers of paint off wood?

Painted bathroom cabinets - they appear to be dry, but are sticky?
I think and hope I'm being overly paranoid. Saturday morning, I used Liquid Deglosser on my bathroom cabinets. I waited the hour it recommended and then applied Kilz oil based primer. I let it dry for 24 hours. Then today, I painted the cabinets with an oil based paint. I applied 2 thin coats. It's only been about 5 hours since I finished painting, so I didn't expect it to be dry by now. However, when I touch it, the paint is sticky, though no paint sticks to my finger and no prints are let in the paint. Is this normal? Temps in the house has been about 70 degrees. It has been rainy and cold outside. Should I give it a day and look into getting a dehumidifer for a couple days? I've read where people have problems with getting their cabinets to ever dry, so I'm just worried I'm going to run into the same.Thx
Repainting bathroom cabinets?
I am in the process of repainting my bathroom vanities and have taken off the cabinet fronts of the drawers and cupboards and sanded them down. My question is do I need to sand down the frame of the vanity also? I was concerned about all of the dust it will produce and I was wondering if I just needed to lightly sand it to rough it up a bit before applying the primer or can I just clean it thoroughly and just apply the primer on top of the old paint because I took off the cabinet fronts and drawers and sanded that in my garage and my garage is coated in dust and I didn't want that to happen in my bathroom. Any answers will be greatly appreciated.
