I have chrome fixtures in my bathroom and accidentally both polished nickel towel bars, can I combine the two?
Do I need a special tool to remove old towel bars?
I'm going to redo an old bathroom and I can't remove the 20 year old towel bars. They have little holes in them which are about the size of a pen point. Sticking a pen point into them does not losen up the structure. No screws are visible.OK Bert, the smallest Allen wrench did it Thank you.
Where can I find replacement towel bars for ceramic holders?
Our bathrooms have these ceramic ends for the towel bars, but the stupid bar is plastic & eventually it cracks, then breaks. I would tear them all out EXCEPT that two of them are part of the ceramic tiled shower walls. Does anyone know of a replacement towel bar for these wonderful towel holders?
How high should towel bars be hung?
Why is it that most towel bars are narrower than most towels?
My bath towels are generally at least 26" wide, but most towel bars are about 18" . I've found a few that are 24" but none wider. It seems obvious that a towel dries better if it is hung unfolded. so why is it difficult or impossible to find a fully functional towel rack?
What colour light fixture and towel bars should I have?
My bathroom is now buttercup yellow, the tile work is soft yellow and ivory and my sink faucet and tub faucets are chrome. Do my light and towel fixtures have to match my faucets and what finish colour would look good for light towel fixturesshould I change my sink and tub fixtures to brass and have everything in brass?I agree that brass is too 80's. I think the brown tones of the rubbed oil finish would go well with the soft yellow but would not go with the chrome. I think the brushed nickel would go with the chrome faucets but not the yellow tones of the walls and tiles. There sets at Kent that include the towel bar, toilet paper holder and robe hook. Should I choose brushed nickel or rubbed oil?
Why did my bathroom towel bars bend?
I have two towel bars in different locations in my bathroom and within the lst few months, both of them have huge dents in them. Can this be caused by settling?
What do you think about towel bars made out of galvanized pipe and fittings?
Is this a silly idea? My kids have a " nautical theme" in their bathroom and they are constantly breaking their towel bars. Would this look too cheesy? Would it be less expensive to just buy some really sturdy ones?
Seriously, how do you fix towel bars and toilet paper dispensers when they pull out of your wall?
You know, the anchors that keep them in place get loose and the towel bar or TP dispenser just hangs away from the wall. How do you fix that?Rob S TP dispensers wouldn't reach across to both studs, so what do you do in that case?
Towel bar that won't damage dorm walls?
i need a towel bar for next year. i had just a hook this year, but my towel never really got completely dry. but...i can't have anything that damages the walls of my dorm. so...are there any towel bars that don't damage walls?
What kind of bathroom towel bar (etc.) will not tarnish?
I want to replace the current hand towel bar and toilet paper holder in my bathroom, but I DON'T want to get anything that, although it might look great in the store, will later require special polishing to keep it looking nice. What kind of material will be low maintenance yet durable? Chrome tends to flake and chip, so I'd rather not do that.Porcelain would probably be nice, but I've only seen porcelain nickel combos, and I'm concerned that nickel might tarnish. Does it?Wood doesn't seem the right choice for a humid bathroom. Plus it doesn't aesthetically appeal to me. Stainless steel would be great, but I've never seen towel bars & toilet paper holders made only out of stainless steel. I've looked at Lowe's and Home Depot.
